What we do

Complete tree care for Sonoma County

Our services range from tree planting to tree removal. Whether you're planting or removing, we're here to help — with the tree's health in mind.

Pruning work on a mature tree

Tree pruning

Corrective and select branch pruning — for fencing, for branches over property lines, to protect utility lines, and for driveway obstructions.

Tree & stump removal

We like keeping trees alive and as healthy as possible — but sometimes a tree needs to go. We can successfully and safely remove almost any tree.

Oak trees are our specialty

Sonoma County's oaks are slow-growing, protected in places, and unforgiving of bad pruning. They are the trees we know best.

Hazard evaluation

Crown inspection, hazard evaluation, diagnosis and recommendations — a written opinion on whether that tree is actually a risk.

Pest & disease control

Major diseases and insect infestations can kill a tree quickly and spread to the ones around it. Catching it early is most of the work.

Deep root feeding & cabling

Deep root feeding, crown reduction and restoration, thinning and shaping, and safety cabling to keep a heavy limb where it belongs.

Why a Certified Arborist on site actually matters

Most tree work is irreversible. A bad cut doesn't grow back, and a tree that has been topped or over-thinned spends the next decade failing slowly.

"It is our mission to make Sonoma County a beautiful and safer place to live by servicing one tree at a time — with dedication to the highest quality of customer satisfaction while keeping the trees health in mind."

That is why there is a Certified Arborist on every job site, not just on the estimate.

  • Cuts made to the branch collar, not flush and not stubbed
  • Crown reduction and restoration instead of topping
  • Hazard assessed before anything is removed
  • Free estimates — and an honest answer if it needs nothing

How it started

Two brothers, one truck, 1978

"I started this business back in 1978 with the idea of working on trees with my brother. We slowly worked this business from the ground up but then my brother decided he didn't want to pursue tree service any more."

"From there I built a solid customer base in Sonoma County and have been making people happier and their homes safer ever since."

FAQ

Questions we get

Do you charge for an estimate?
No — free estimates. Call and describe the tree, or we'll come and look at it.
Is a Certified Arborist really on every job?
Yes. That's the commitment, and it's the reason the work holds up: the person deciding where the cut goes is qualified to make that call.
What days are you open?
Seven days a week, 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Sunday.
Does my tree actually need removing?
Often not. We like keeping trees alive and as healthy as possible. There's a full list of the genuine reasons for removal on our tree removal page — if none of them apply, we'll say so.
Do you remove the stump too?
Yes — tree and stump removal, including grinding.
Are you licensed?
Yes. California contractor licence #693877, and we're a member of the National Arborist Association.

Got a tree you are worried about?

Free estimates, seven days a week, and a Certified Arborist on every job site. Call and describe it — we will tell you honestly whether it needs work.
